PROCUREMENT MANAGER GRADE 13
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead team in all aspects of procurement, specifically supplier selection, negotiation and supply management according to the local procurement policy
• Create execute and re-evaluate category strategies aligned to company goals for all areas of significant spend.
• Ensure implementation of global supply chain strategies in local operation and represent local operation interests in global strategy creation.
• Overall responsibility for supply base management and performance management of existing supply base, actively seek market knowledge for existing and new products/services and shape Supply Base for efficiency.
• Develop and maintain relationship with key suppliers.
• Translate Commercial strategies into executable Procurement concepts, plans and business
models that best serves the company strategy.
Leadership
• Contribute to overall Supply Chain department management and performance as part of Supply
Chain Management team.
• Management of Procurement team.
• Ensure competency development and skills of procurement team to meet job requirements.
• Ensure dimensioning of staff and backup of critical functions.
• Act as a source of procurement expertise to others, support and coach other colleagues in complex procurement issues.
• Raise awareness and profile of Procurement locally and globally.
Operations
• Review procurement recommendations for Purchase Committee decision
• Ensure Purchase Orders are raised in accordance with agreed price, conditions and delivered as per agreed lead-time.
• Work with Finance to adhere to broader finance and risk requirements.Create and maintain instructions and documented processes within area of responsibility.
• Continuous improvements: Initiate and implement improvements through tools, metrics,
processes and policies.
• Compliance:Ensure that a consistent professional approach to procurement is practiced throughout the organization in compliance with internal corporate policies and specifically procedures regarding procurement.
Qualifications & Experience
• University Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Economics.
• Preferably an MBA or Master’s degree International procurement certification
• Minimum 5-7 years procurement experience preferably with telecom background
• Experience in managing teams Experience and knowledge in the procurement system.

Agent Creation Administrator (Grade 8)
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive, review and process Super-Agent, Retail Agents and Billers tills creation requests in accordance to the agreed KYC requirements.
Verifying Super-Agent, Retail Agents and Billers in the system after creation and advising them to their respective teams.
Ensure that all tigo pesa agent queries and complaints are sorted within the agreed SLA
Facilitate trainings to Super agents and ensure the provision of quality service to all retail agent.
Ensure that all new created tills are registered on Engrafi
Ensure that after creation all KYC documents are filed and stored for operational reviews and audits.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
University Degree in Business Administration, Social Science or related fieldGood leadership, management
and team building skills;
2 years’ work experience in related role Proficiency level in MS Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Vision

Assistant Procurement Specialist
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for all the purchases for the company by either respecting the MIC procedures or by involving PIR/global procurement
team at the head office
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure that all suppliers used, are on the approved suppliers register.
• All new suppliers have to be pre-approved by SCM or Procurement Manager responsible.
• To ensure that there is a continuous, cost effective and efficient procurement process of goods and services for the
organization.
• Ensure proper purchase orders (PO) are issued in accordance with the type procurement (capital expenditure must be supported by an approved car ).
• Maintain a proper filling and monthly tracking system on the status of all PO and contracts issued and updates
to the respective heads of departments.
• Participate in the preparation of monthly reports, commitments and cost analysis reports, as well as Sarbanes- Oxley monthly closing and audit tasks.
• Perform other duties and projects as required or assigned.
• Assist on relevant sox controls under processes 6,14, and 23 for transaction level controlsP6 Purchase & pay for assets &
expensesP14 Cash disbursementsP23 Estimate commitments & contingencies
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
