Victor Lindelof's error costs Man Utd in defeat by Huddersfield
Victor Lindelof's first-half error proved costly for Manchester United in their 2-1 defeat by Huddersfield on Saturday. The Swedish defender had only been on the pitch 10 minutes following Phil Jones' early injury, and he was forced into a sticky situation from goalkeeper Jonas Lossl's long clearance. He got caught under the ball, and slightly ducked his head as it came to him, allowing Laurent Depoitre to sweep in behind him and round David de Gea, before scoring for 2-0.

Lindelof, a £30.7m signing from Benfica in the summer, is yet to make a positive impression with manager Jose Mourinho, and is yet to make a start in the Premier League. Paul Merson said on Soccer Saturday after the game: "The lad Lindelof came on, and wow. If you watch Christopher Schindler for Huddersfield, you'd take him all day long [over Lindelof]. He had Lukaku in his pocket all day. "Lindelof goes to head it, misses it, and Depoitre rounds De Gea and sticks it into the net. Bad defending."
